Photographing a newborn within your family is always relaxing. I spent a Friday afternoon with Sekora, the most recent addition to my wife's family, and Sekora herself was very easy going. Here are some shots from our time together:

The Mitchells 2015 - Bluebonnet Trail in Plano
Bluebonnet season is here, and the state flowers tend to leave as quickly as they bloom mid-Spring. I spent some time with one of my favorite families, The Mitchells, as we tended to a bluebonnet field in Plano.

Wright Family - White Rock Lake
One family I definitely have seen grow. After they moved to Colorado, they contact me when they are in Texas, which I cannot appreciate enough. We spent an evening during the Thanksgiving holidays to bring an update this year. The session felt very casual and relaxed. I was at home.

Patchen Family - Dallas Arboretum
4 years ago I photographed Matt and Vanessa's beautiful Victorian outdoor wedding. And recently, one Sunday morning, I'm helping commemorate their twins Jamieson and Brendan's first birthday. Here are a few from our warm time at the Dallas Arboretum's seasonal Pumpkin Village.

Katie's Newborn Session
Two good friends of mine, Stephen and Anna, recently introduced Katie to the world. When they contacted me about commemorating Katie's welcome, I gladly drove to their home to make some portraits.
I'll be the first to admit sitting on these sessions are not always easy as it appears, as there is
a level of unpredictability with a newborn. Though, there is a sense of new-found love that permeates the air. Like a life reset in-a-kind-of-way. An emotional high that can never be taken away from a parent I
can only imagine. That said, their session reminded me of this feeling after
photographing some families 2nd or 3rd child.
Here are a few from our
time together. Welcome, Katie!

Moody Family - Dallas Arboretum
I have to personally thank the Moody family for photographing on a hot Texas summer day. It wasn't easy, but the three charged through it. We spent a morning session at the Dallas Arboretum, celebrating Leena's first birthday.

The Esely and Webster Family
When you are friends whom are also repeat clients, you sometimes forget how beautiful people can look and feel until they are in front of your camera.
While this is my first time photographing Jamie, Ben and their son Gabriel, I was elated the whole session. I felt their suggestion to photograph at Clear Creek Nature Preserve in Denton was perfect, the cloudy weather was great, and I'm grateful they all braved the itchy, high grass. Here are a few of my favorites:
