Ginny, an old friend whom I met in high school, Jimmy and I spent our time together in Paris, TX for their engagements. They made their relationship official after celebrating the 4th of July in Paris, so we felt the city was a great fit for their story. Here are a few from our time together:

Ashley's Bridals - The Woodlands, TX
Now that Ashley and Brandon's wedding has passed on St. Patrick's day, I can show y'all some pictures from when I photographed Ashley's bridals in The Woodlands.
The
scenery and passer-bys' reactions couldn't be better. It was almost
something from a Disney movie scene -- from little girls scurrying
around her saying, "it's a princess!" to their moms, to a group of
shirtless guys jogging clapping and saying "you look beautiful!"
collectively as they pass by. The moments were aplenty, and only
contributed to the warming environment Waterway Square had to offer.
We started at The Koi Garden which was nearby to the square, and I placed her in the entrance way here:
After going inside, I had her stand on the small bridge in the middle of the garden:
Then we tried some sitting poses, and a detail of the ring:
The architecture around Waterway Square is spruced with a lot of greenery along the walkway, here is a great example:
Here is another example of the greenery, though it's toned down a bit:
Ashley is most definitely proud to be rocking TOMS heels for her wedding!:
We stopped on a stairway for a few shots, here's one:
This hidden gem of a installation is tucked away next to Grimaldi's
Pizza on the bottom floor, a restaurant Ashley recommended I should try:
Towards the end, Ashley unwinded and invited us to join her for a cold
one at Goose's Acre. I don't blame her, she is a proud Texan girl after
all. When she walked in, a few girls at a table exclaimed, "the princess
is coming in!":
I finished up photographing her on a hill, with the sun coming down, and her looking down to the side:
Thank y'all so much for bringing us down to The Woodlands for your
bridals. I loved the location, exploring new ones at the very the least,
and for being a joy to work with throughout the whole process. Expect a post about the wedding here shortly later today.

Alvin and Niki's Wedding - Richardson, TX
Alvin and Niki held their wedding reception at Caravelle in Richardson. The venue was decorated with vivid reds and whites, and flowers displayed throughout the reception. I met the two through a mutual friend of mine, Brian, who is Alvin's younger brother.
I started off the coverage photographing against a backdrop they provided with standalone lights of Alvin and Niki with guests, and made prints that night, which the guests could take home (you can see example in the post).
After everyone was settled in and started mingling, Alvin's father thanked everyone, and certain guests by name for recognition:
Alvin's mother was one of them:
The MC made an announcement, and introduced the best couple of the night:
Promptly after, the band opened up with their first song:
While dinner was being served, it's customary in the Asian culture for the bride, groom, and immediately family and friends to go table to table, thanking them for coming and share a small toast:
Sometimes it doesn't end at a toast for certain tables though. One person had the groom play a game where he has to find his wife down the line - blindfolded!:
Soon, it was time for their first dance, and I have to say, they looked very happy together:
And now we have an open dance floor!:
In-between the dancing, it was time to cut, eat, and serve the cake:
Alvin wasted no time opening, and sharing the champagne with Niki:
Niki made a brief announcement that whoever catches the bouquet, had to get married on the spot (jokingly, of course):
I suppose some are always ready:
And now back to dancing festivities!:
Some of the details throughout the night, including the prints I mentioned earlier:
Alvin, Niki, thank you guys for bringing us out and letting us photograph your special day. May your days as husband and wife be filled with happiness!
