Ariane and Victor-Married. Sneak Peak!

I had the pleasure of photographing Ariane and Victor's wedding this past Friday. Look for a full-length blog in a few days!

I had a wonderful time and it was a joy to see them so happy with one another!

Baby Will

I present to you, Will. Dainty, comfortable, and sleepy as newborns come, he was no exception. I photographed in his parents', Julie and James, open and simplistic home - where the environment helped me execute simpler images, and got to meet their five animal friends.

Will relaxed himself and started to smirk while in this position:

When I first saw him, the first attribute I noticed was the amount of hair, a trait I can relate to:

The dining area was one of my favorite places in the home, and I knew I had to get a photo of it and Will together:

Dinah, the charming sheltie, was very photogenic with the new addition in the household:

We moved into Will's nursery, where he displayed comfort of being wrapped up, but moreso when next to mom and dad:

Though he couldn't wear adult-sized boots, it doesn't mean he could be supported by them!:
We can't forget his own pair he'll grow into:
A closer family round-up made this photograph. I wanted Will to be the focus here, while giving slight hints of the parents' expressions:

The photoshoot ended with bedtime, but not without some company!:

I want to thank Julie and James for inviting me out to their home to photograph their lovely first child, and I look forward to many more celebrations.

Currier Christmas Portraits

Last week I photographed some siblings for their Christmas photos. Here are the two boys, Adam and Aaron:

Here they read a story with their sister, Asia, and cousin, Emily:

Cookies for Santa?:

Asia was all about the silly faces, and it seems like we did cartwheels to get her to look in some of the photos, but here she dropped her shy demeanor and gave me a big smile:

Don't forget, Thanksgiving is next week; the holiday season is upon us! Schedule your shoot now before it's too late!

Emma, one year

Meet Emma, another sweet girl celebrating her first birthday. She's a big fan of blocks:

and books:

here she sports a beautiful silver bracelet bearing her name:

Strike a pose and smile for the camera!:

Emma enjoyed holding out her toys and showing us what she was playing with:

Here she shows a more serious face:

While Emma went to change into her next outfit, Rochelle snapped this photo of our set up. For those of you that aren't too familiar with our in house photo shoots, this is generally what we do--set up a studio in your living room or another comfortable room. This is especially helpful for little ones, as it eases those tensions that arise when away from home, and it also ensures that plenty of toys, snacks, and clothes are nearby:

Then Emma was back and ready to smile, set with pumpkins and a beautiful blue dress:

Next we took a few shots with mom and dad:

and then brought in yet another family member! We did get some more traditional posed shots with the dog, but I loved the emotion in this photo:

If was a lot of fun working with both a dog and a baby, but definitely more tricky to pose! Here is one shot we managed to get of both still, if only for a moment:

Afterwards, we brought out some bubbles, which Emma was very interested in:

We had a great time working with Emma, and wish her a very happy first birthday!
