One family I definitely have seen grow. After they moved to Colorado, they contact me when they are in Texas, which I cannot appreciate enough. We spent an evening during the Thanksgiving holidays to bring an update this year. The session felt very casual and relaxed. I was at home.

Ginny's Bridals - Dallas Arboretum and White Rock Lake
With her wedding in less than two weeks, here are a few bridal images of Ginny I wanted to show to those in her circles. Taken at the Dallas Arboretum and White Rock Lake:

Veronica's Conductor Headshots
When Veronica contacted me about headshots for a conductor teaching role she recently came into, she definitely knew what she wanted.
It was a wonderful learning experience not only for her, but me as well. She gave suggestions and envisioned a certain look -- nothing super formal, more along the lines of a casual business look and feel with the sense of professionalism.
Here are a few that caught my eye. Thanks, Veronica!

Heather and Brandon's Bishop Arts District Engagements
I've known Heather since high school, so when she and Brandon welcomed me as their photographer, I know I'll be in for a good time. We spent an afternoon at the Bishop Arts District, a location I've been wanting to try, and finished at Lake Cliff Park. Here are a few from our time together:

Don and Trang's Engagements Part II (and Bridals)
I photographed Don and Trang for a second time, this time dressed in their formal attire. I also spent moments on just Trang, too. You can witness their transformation by looking at their previous shoot.
We visited St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richardson to start off the session. They looked fantastic. Here are a few of my favorites:
We worked our way from outside to inside:
Then vice versa when Trang changed into the more traditional Vietnamese dress:
We went to the Dallas Arboretum, with the first stop at the Infinity Pool:
And made them work their feet in the middle of a field!:
One of my favorites, a long-wide shot:
Trang + bouquet:
Helping the lovely wife-to-be:
A final quick stop at White Rock Lake rounded off this pleasant shoot:
Don, Trang, thanks again!

Aerial and Micah's Engagements - Dallas Arboretum / White Rock Lake
Last week I was given the opportunity to photograph Aerial and Micah's engagements at the Dallas Arboretum, who are holding their wedding there later this year. They are a beautiful couple and were a pleasure to work with.
We started in the walkway leading up to the frog fountains, and made this image:
Then went over to cascading fountains nearby, which fortunately was in service this time, and took this, and a detail of her ring:
They wanted a more candid look for part of the session, so I got them going down part of a trail:
Here, Micah suggested sitting with the small creek bed behind them:
Hydrangeas occupied the vertical spacing:
We made our way to a lawn and I had them lay down:
One of the last stops was the reflection pool, which can be busy at times, but luckily it was near closing and on a weekday:
This shot actually reflects a moment in transition where I didn't have to pose them at all. Couples going into an engagement session usually have a general idea of what to expect, but during the second half, I can tell they are more relaxed and naturally direct themselves:
They wanted a few sunset shots at White Rock Lake, so we left for dinner, and reconvened at a pier when the sun was on the horizon, and made these images. I used an off-camera flash to fill in for the first one:
I split them up for a couple of individuals, too:
The last spot we used was a crossover bridge at the north end of the lake, and I took this detail:
Aerial, Micah, thanks for working with me and making this happen. I can't wait until September!
