I was given the chance to photograph the Appling family - you may remember them from their wedding I photographed a few years ago. If you compare the pictures in the wedding, you can see how much the children have grown!
We chose Downtown Grapevine as the location. When they arrived, they were themed up, donning pre-Valentine's colors.
We started at the main gazebo located in the center of downtown:
A few jumps is an easy way to warm-up for the photoshoot:
I had them go over to a nearby mural, and took a few photos there:
This is where each family member really stands out - individual portraits. I enjoy the brief separation because there is a lot of positive reinforcement that happens behind me while doing these:
We moved over to a wooden house, where they were paired up:
Crossing the street over in front of city hall, I staggered them out for a more spread out image:
Josh works for Union Pacific, and it seemed natural that Erin wanted to choose the location to get photos with the standalone railroad cars.
First there was a little exploring:
Then onto the family portraits, with some on a separated track:
And then paired up once again:
Thank y'all for coming out, it was a blast to see y'all again. I almost didn't recognize the kids since they grew quite a bit. I look forward to next time!
