James and Jamie's Wedding

James and Jamie's special day featured American and Korean traditions throughout their wedding. They held the ceremony at New Song Church in Carrollton, and celebrated their night at the Sushi Awaji Japanese Restaurant in Irving. Some of the images that follow are my favorites throughout the day.

The floral arch stands ready on the stage before the start of the ceremony:

Jamie's grandmother gets her face padded down while Jamie, front, gets final touches done as well:

I wanted to get the rings on the decorative ring pillow while still encased in its colorful box:

A portrait of the beautiful wife-to-be:

Here, her best friend from New York takes a photo of Jamie as a guest peeks from the doorway:

James, displaying accolades he's earned in the service, greets each family member and friend that entered the church:

A guest signs the guestbook:

James waits near the doorway before heading into the sanctuary:

Then it was Jamie's turn to go!:

She then gets walked down the aisle by her father after everyone's anticipation inside the sanctuary:

Jamie slides James' ring onto his hand:

And then the kiss:

A closing song commemorated the marriage of the new husband and wife:

Jamie hugs her mother-in-law before exiting down the aisle:

The couple eagerly wait to thank each guest that came to the ceremony:

After they were done with the first half, they make their way towards their limousine and share their first kiss away from family and friends:

When I arrived at Sushi Awaji, I couldn't help but notice the simplistic decorations and foods:

The cake was cut, fed, and kissed around:

The next few images showcase the Korean tradition, where the newly-wed dress in lavish clothing, and appease to friends and families for gifts that will symbolically flourish over their marriage:

But there were a few tumbles because of the large clothing!

The wedding was an absolute success and I was glad to be there to document their wedding day. I only wish them the best!
